Microgrants 2026
SRE Network 2026 Microgrants
Small grants to help the Jewish nonprofit sector move gender equity work forward.
Creating Jewish workplaces where safety, respect, and equity are lived realities is ongoing, intentional work. For years, SRE Network has helped lay that foundation by bringing organizations together, shaping shared standards, and investing in one of the only funding streams dedicated to gender equity in Jewish communal workplaces.
This work matters. And, it is far from finished.
As we move through a period of calibration and pause larger grantmaking, we feel the weight of this moment. We are committed to exploring new ways to resource this work across the field, so progress can continue.
We are launching microgrants to move this work forward and ensure resources reach the field where they are needed most. Each grant will be an intentionally modest $2,000, designed to support as many organizations as possible. These funds are intended to spark momentum: whether that means bringing in a facilitator, creating a new resource, or moving forward on a meaningful next step your organization has been hoping to take.
If your organization is part of SRE Network and engaged in advancing safety, respect, and equity work, we invite you to apply.
Thank you for all you do to advance gender equity and build workplaces grounded in belonging. We are so grateful to be in partnership with you.
Applications open from April 14 - May 5
Project Areas
Proposals must address one or more of the following strategic areas:
Advancing Diverse Women’s Leadership
Equitable leadership drives stronger, more inclusive organizations. Increasing the representation and support of women and other underrepresented leaders is essential for a thriving Jewish communal landscape that reflects its diversity.
Strengthening Systems of Harm Prevention and Response
Safe, respectful workplaces are the foundation of a thriving Jewish communal landscape. Organizations must be equipped to prevent harm*, respond with care when harm occurs, and build accountability across their communities.
*Harm = Sexual harassment, abuse, or discrimination in any form. This includes actions, comments or policies, whether intentional or unintentional, which communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative messages that target persons based upon their marginalized group identity.
Mobilizing Men as Partners
Lasting culture change requires shared responsibility. Men hold significant influence in many Jewish communal organizations, and their active participation is critical to dismantling harmful power dynamics and fostering equitable leadership and workplaces.
Rooting Our Core Values in Jewish Wisdom
Safety, respect, and equity are more than organizational best practices — they are deeply Jewish values. Jewish texts and teachings can reinforce the values at the heart of this work and help communities ground their efforts in something deeper.
