Our Work

We are a Jewish network of over 170 organizations that is rooted in our shared commitment to safety, respect, and equity for all.  We inspire meaningful change in workplaces and community spaces by bringing people together to address gender-based harassment, discrimination, and inequity.

Our work is focused on building communityresearch & learning, and strategic community investments, using an intersectional lens of gender justice.

SRE Standards

Our SRE Standards for Safe, Respect and Equitable Workplaces are an important tool for creating and supporting healthy and supportive workplaces and communal spaces. Organizations serving the Jewish community in North America are encouraged to learn more about our membership process.

Community-Building

SRE Network is a member-driven network dedicated to reflecting the diversity of identities and needs of its membership to effectively create and sustain safe, respectful and equitable workplaces.

Research & Learning

SRE Network serves as a movement-builder, acting as a catalyst for building the kind of long-term movement needed to create a safe, respectful and equitable Jewish community and larger society, through supporting, investing in and sharing cutting-edge research and ongoing learning that supports the field of gender justice.

Community Investments

SRE Network serves as a multiplier through our community investments portfolio, which encompasses both grantmaking and investments in partnerships with experts, trainers, practitioners in both the Jewish community and beyond to provide in-kind support to SRE Network membership and the field at large. To date, SRE Network has invested nearly $3M in grants and supports to the field of gender justice.

The Safety, Respect, Equity Commitment is part of SRE’s mission to make all Jewish workplaces and communal spaces safe, respectful and equitable.
