Roundtables with Rachel

From Moment to Movement

SRE Network was established during the #MeToo Movement to respond to an immediate need within the Jewish community – ensuring the safety, respect, and equity of our Jewish communal professionals, regardless of their gender or other marginalized identities. Today, SRE is excited to expand upon this work and build a movement deeply committed to advancing gender equity across the Jewish communal landscape.

In October 2024, we hosted two discussions with SRE’s Executive Director Rachel Gildiner. These gave SRE community members a special opportunity to dig deep into what SRE's future looks like, and what it might take for their organizations to be a part of this movement at this unique moment in time. These interactive conversations coincided with the sacred period of reflection and renewal during the High Holidays.
