The Power of Showing Up

Building Cultures of Belonging & Inclusion

We are living through a time in which the safety and dignity of many historically marginalized communities are coming under increased attack. Jewish values and history make it clear: we are called upon to show up for, care for, and defend the safety of the full diversity of our community members.

Join SRE Network and our incredible partners in this work for a 3-part spring learning series exploring how we build communities of safety for LGBTQ+ folks, Jews of Color, and for all women and the diverse identities they hold. You are welcome to join us for a single session or for all.

You are welcome to drop in for one session, or attend them all.

*We define women as those who self-identify as such, including those who have nonbinary, transgender, and cisgender identities.

SRE Network is deeply committed to supporting the dignity and belonging of all individuals across our diverse Jewish community. This includes our radical acceptance of LGBTQ+ folks, Jews of Color, and Jews of all abilities, backgrounds, races, ethnicities, and sexual and gender identities.

Session 1: Showing Up for Our Trans & LGBTQ+ Community Members

With mounting threats to trans and LBGTQ+ rights in the U.S., Jewish organizations can play an active role in affirming, protecting, and advocating for our trans and queer community members. From ensuring safe and respectful organizational workplaces, to speaking out clearly for trans and LGBQ+ rights, all of our communities can make a difference. Learn from our partners at Keshet about what it means to show up boldly for trans and queer communities in this shifting landscape.

It has never been more urgent for Jewish workplaces to center gender equity across their policies, procedures, and culture to ensure women can thrive. Join us for a discussion on the current state of gender equity under the new administration, what’s at stake, and the tangible steps we can take to build safer, more equitable workplaces and communities.
