DESCRIPTION:Sacred Spaces is offering a free train-the-trainer program to equip individuals working and volunteering in Jewish organizations with the knowledge and skills to lead a curriculum designed to introduce the topic of elder abuse and promote discussions. \n\nTrain-the-Trainer Approach \n\nSacred Spaces will lead and teach participants through a curriculum that can be adapted for their needs. The following is the elder abuse content covered in this basic training curriculum: \n\nJewish Values\nPrevalence and Contributing Factors\nSigns\, Forms\, and Impact\nRole of Jewish Organizations in Prevention and Response\n\nAt the end of the train-the-trainer\, participants will be prepared to bring this one-hour presentation to their own community or lead a discussion about elder abuse. \nWho Can Register \nThis program is designed for any professional and lay leader working in Jewish organizations who have the interest in building their skills around speaking about elder abuse and a commitment to using the curriculum 1-2 times over the course of the next year. \n\n\n\nParticipants are expected to attend all sessions. \n\nJanuary 29\, 2026 – 4pm – 6pm Eastern / 1pm – 3pm Pacific\nFebruary 12\, 2026 – 4pm – 6pm Eastern / 1pm – 3pm Pacific\nFebruary 19\, 2026 – 4pm – 6pm Eastern / 1pm – 3pm Pacific\nMarch 19\, 2026 – 4pm – 6pm Eastern / 1pm – 3pm Pacific

How we respond makes a huge difference in the process of seeking safety and healing. \nJoin us for a two part series led by Naomi Tucker\, founding Executive Director and Rabbi Zoe McCoon of Shalom Bayit\, the SF Bay Area’s leading Jewish voice on Domestic Violence response. Informed by 30 years of on-the-ground experience leading domestic violence intervention and consultation for rabbis\, this series will provide practical\, rabbi-specific learning and resources based on best practices in the field.
